This Carbon Fiber Lexan Engine Cover allows you to show off your modified engine without opening your rear glass hatch, and saves weight over the heavy fiberglass felt-covered piece, which is packed with sound-deadening material. This cover results in a slightly increased noise level inside of the cabin (a slight increase, not obnoxious), which adds a sporting feel to your NSX.

This cover can be mounted to either coupe or targa model NSX's, but targa model cars will need to replace their factory double hinges (for the targa clamshell) with coupe hinges, which are a direct bolt-in; the coupe hinges are around $25/ea at an Acura dealership, the part number is 69210-SL0-000. If you would prefer to retain your OEM targa hinges, this cover can also be shipped without mounting holes, to allow for custom drilling - note, the targa hinges are not ideal, as they will not allow the engine cover to fully open, unlike the coupe hinges.
